Liverpool play West Ham this weekend. Here’s our predicted lineup.

Following their 2-0 win over Midtjylland, Liverpool resume their Premier League campaign on Saturday at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp’s side had a tough time getting the better of the Danish club who put in a spirited performance on Tuesday. They now focus on David Moyes’ West Ham who will be in good spirits following their 1-1 draw against Manchester City last weekend.

The Hammers have registered some pretty good results lately that include thrashing Wolves 4-0, overturning a three-goal deficit in the final few minutes to draw 3-3 against Spurs and of course, their recent stalemate over Pep Guardiola’s side.

West Ham’s last victory at Anfield wasn’t very long back as it came during the start of the 2015/16 season when Klopp was yet to join Liverpool.

The Reds suffered another injury blow as Fabinho was forced to leave the pitch before the half-hour mark. Things might be worse for them as Mohamed Salah was seen limping down the tunnel after the match according to the Daily Mirror. Us fans will hope that both aren’t serious injury concerns as the club can’t afford any more of this after losing Virgil van Dijk for the remainder of the season.

On paper, Liverpool look the favorites to win but West Ham can’t be underestimated as they’ve shown lately that they are capable of pulling off an upset. Not to forget how close they came to winning at Anfield last season.

Now, let’s take a look at the XI Klopp could field against the Hammers this weekend and don’t hesitate to leave your thoughts on it in the comments section.

With the Brazilian back to full fitness, there’s no doubt that he will be between the sticks on Saturday. Alisson kept his second clean sheet of the season against Midtjylland and had a decent outing. He will definitely be between the sticks against West Ham and will be expected to be a rock in goal and help organise the backline.

The Hammers will be without Mikhail Antonio but Jarrod Bowen is also capable of threatening the Liverpool defense so the 27-year-old will have to be alert.

Alisson has so far had just one clean sheet in the Premier League this season so far and will be eager to keep another this weekend in order to keep his chances of a second Golden Glove alive. As of now, Rui Patricio, Alex McCarthy and Emiliano Martinez are at the top with three clean sheets apiece.

With van Dijk out, Alisson’s presence has become a lot more important than it was. Hence, Klopp certainly can’t afford to lose him. Bowen and the other West Ham attackers are bound to have a tough time getting the better of him on Saturday.
