Liverpool could land a huge deal.

It’s clear Liverpool are on a relentless mission to establish dominance both on the domestic and continental front under Jurgen Klopp. The past two years have seen the club lift every silverware possible on the planet, and while there has been challenges along the way there has probably never been a greater crisis embroiling the club than the current one.

The mounting injury problems have wreaked havoc on the Reds.

It has seen the club’s most important pillars side-lined for considerable amounts of time on the pitch.

And the Reds’ have consequently stumbled as a result.

Yet they somehow crucially remain within touching distance of their two most coveted trophies – the Premier League and the Champions League.

The Reds’ ability to remain close to the top is a demonstration of the strong characters and the vast hoard of talent Jurgen Klopp has at his disposal.

Undoubtedly, the area which has suffered the most injuries has been in defence. Currently, the club’s first choice centre-back Virgil Van Dijk and Joe Gomez are both out with long term injuries.

And they are unlikely to return any time soon.

Therefore, the club may look to strengthen in the department this January.

There has been some big names linked with a move but the latest star to be tipped for a transfer is of unknown substance.

20 year old Polish defence Sebastian Walukiewicz is on the club’s radar according to Corriere dello Sport via Four Four Two.

The Cagliari defender has been a stalwart presence at the back for the Serie A side and it has caught the attention of the Reds’ rivals in Chelsea and Manchester United also.

The Reds thus might face an arduous battle to land Sebastian Walukiewicz, however with Cagliari unlikely to ask for a steep figure, it’s a battle the club might have to embrace.

At 20 years old the ceiling is the limit for Sebastian Walukiewicz and investing in his potential could be an astute move by the club.

The Reds certainly lack a fourth choice centre-back and Sebastian Walukiewicz could be the perfect answer to Jurgen Klopp’s woes.

Do you think Sebastian Walukiewicz would be a good signing for the club?
