This Liverpool target could be on the move.
Liverpool and Red Bull Salzburg have a notoriously amicable relationship. Some elite talents have represented both sides over the last decade. From Sadio Mane, Peter Gulacsi to Naby Keita and Takumi Minamino.
Salzburg are renowned as a club with an esteemed reputation for churning out one talent after another. They are elite at identifying and honing talent. Most of their start players come with a high ceiling potential.
Erling Haaland was the key figure for Red Bull Salzburg last season and this time around it is the Hungarian Dominik Szoboszlai who is pulling the strings.

Unsurprisingly Liverpool are thought to be among the club’s vying for the Hungarian star.
It is easy to see where Dominik Szoboszlai would fit into the team. The 20 year old is an excellent presser with great stamina and a potent finish.
And we must not forget about his incredible set-piece ability, a trait he practised 100-200 times a day according to his father in an interview with First Time Finish.
Those will be music to the ears of the Reds supporters, with Jurgen Klopp’s team particularly thriving in dead-ball situations and from penetrative crosses into the penalty area.
In recent week, Dominik Szoboszlai has polished his defensive output as well and was dominant in the middle of the park for Salzburg against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
With all the excitement and the hype surrounding the 20 year old, it is easy to see why the Reds are interested in Dominik Szoboszlai.
However, the club’s supporters may be disappointed in January.
According to Dominik Szoboszlai’s international manager, Marco Rossi, speaking to IlNapolist via Nemzeti Sport, the Hungarian will sign for RB Leipzig in the winter.
It’ll be taken with a tinge of disappointment at Anfield, but it is probably the right natural progression for the player.
However, if he impressed in the Bundesliga too, a future move to the club surely cannot be ruled out.
Dominik Szoboszlai once described how it was a ‘dream’ to play at Anfield, so he will surely be relishing the prospect of returning to the hallowed ground.
