Liverpool to strike twice?
Diogo Jota‘s arrival at Liverpool was greeted with some batted eye-lids. The Portuguese attacker was hardly recognised as a world-class star. In fact he was struggling to break into Wolverhampton’s starting eleven.
So the £41 million price tag was greeted with a big pointed question mark.
It’s fair to say the Portuguese international has dispelled those doubts pretty quickly since arriving at Anfield.

In Diogo Jota the Kop have a new hero to adore and the Reds’ frontman has provided the perfect cover for the club in the absence of key players like Salah and Mane.
The common adage goes that lightning does not strike twice. However according to Rousing the Kop, that might be the case.
The Liverpool outlet has claimed the club could sign Jota’s former teammate at Wolves and fellow Portuguese international Pedro Neto.
The rapid winger has been stupendous in the Premier League this season exemplified by his stunning last gasp winner against Chelsea.
His pace and direct style of play would certainly suit Jurgen Klopp.
However, the question mark would be where would Pedro Neto fit into this team?
On current evaluation Pedro Neto would struggle to break into the starting eleven with the likes of Salah and Mane as well as Jota capable of occupying the wings.
However he would be an upgrade on the likes of Origi, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Shaqiri and Minamino without a shadow of a doubt.
What the club must assess is whether the steep figure Wolves are likely to demand for their inform winger is worth paying.
Especially with 17 year old Harvey Elliott taking the Championship by storm since the Reds’ recruit from Fulham could be ready to take on the mantle from Salah and Mane in a few years time.
Pedro Neto seems like a smart move on paper. However with already a lot of options in the squad, Klopp would probably have to get rid of some players first before investing in another attacking star.
The club’s top priority must be to bolster their defensive options in the wake of the current injury crisis.
Would you like to see Pedro Neto play for Liverpool in the future?
