Liverpool predicted XI vs Crystal Palace: Williams keeps his place?
By Bence Bocsak
Liverpool have an important fixture.
Liverpool will be flying after their last gasp winner against Tottenham United. However, the last few visits to London have not gone as they would have planned. Two points in the club’s last two away games is also a worrying omen for the Reds.
In Roy Hodgson Klopp will be face a former predecessor and a coach who evokes torrid memories for the club’s supporters.
Crystal Palace are a strong side. Roy Hodgson has bolstered their defence and their attack threat going forward can be dangerous.

In their last game at Selhurst Park, Palace managed a draw against Tottenham which should also make the Reds wary.
It will be pivotal for Liverpool to start the game strong. Against Brighton and Fulham, the Reds began on the backfoot and they were ultimately punished in both games.
Whether it’s the high-line that Klopp needs to fix or some cohesion in the midfield, a front three of Zaha, Eze and Benteke is one which can cause this current frail Liverpool defence plenty of problems.
Rhys Williams did well on his Premier League debut and he is likely to keep his place in the side, with Klopp unlikely to rush Matip back.
Fabinho and Williams both looked vulnerable on counter attacks against Tottenham and that is likely what Crystal Palace will exploit.
However, if the Reds are sharp, that should not be a problem. It’s pivotal both Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane return to their peak, especially the latter whose form has dipped in recent weeks which is a worrisome sign.
Curtis Jones could thrive in midfield, the Scouser has been terrific midweek and his place in the starting eleven is pretty much guaranteed now.
Here is how Klopp is likely to line-up his Liverpool team against Crystal Palace:
Goalkeeper: Allisson
Right Back: Trent Alexander-Arnold
Centre-Back: Rhys Williams
Centre-Back: Fabinho
Left-Back: Andy Robertson
Midfielder: Jordan Henderson
Midfielder: Georginio Wijnaldum
Midfielder: Curtis Jones
Left Winger: Sadio Mane
Striker: Roberto Firmino
Right Winger: Mohamed Salah
Klopp will probably stick with an unchanged eleven, however, he will likely use his subs for this game. Naby Keita is almost certain to get some minutes, and there could be a welcome return for Oxlade-Chamberlain too.
Are you happy with this starting eleven?
