Liverpool are looking to make signings in January.
Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool are always serious when it comes to transfers. And this January, the Reds are in a desperate need to reinforce the squad in order to ensure they can continue their excellent run to the latter stages of the season.
With both the Champions League and the Premier League still at stake. There is plenty of bolstering to be done to make sure the club has enough legs to handle a tough fixture schedule.
While the Reds rival for the Champions League certainly won’t be Manchester United, however in the Premier League the Red Devils look closest to taking Liverpool’s crown away.
And the two arch rivals could come to blows in the January transfer market too.

Both Portuguese newspapers Record and O Jogo via Four Four Two claim Liverpool made a bid for Sporting full-back Nuno Mendes. The bid was believed to have been in the region of €22m but the Portuguese club value their prized asset at almost double that price.
Nuno Mendes is believed to be the best thing to have graduated from Sporting Lisbon’s academy after Cristiano Ronaldo.
Famously the Reds missed out on Ronaldo to the Red Devils, and they will not want to make the same mistake.
Nuno Mendes is a rapid full-back who could suit Jurgen Klopp’s system perfectly. At 18 years of age he still has plenty of time to develop and become even better. But already he could become an astute deputy to Andrew Robertson on the left side of defence.
He is not a top priority signing and definitely more of ‘one for the future’ however, his pace and ability to maraud forward could become handy in the event that the Reds suffer further injuries especially to key figures like Andrew Robertson.
The Red struggled in the absence of Trent Alexander-Arnold, with the full-backs playing a pivotal role in Jurgen Klopp’s system, signing a player like Nuno Mendes could be the key.
Of course Manchester United will surely have a few words about that and they are likely to put up a mighty transfer fight.
