Liverpool should move for this Spurs target.
Georginio Wijnaldum has been one of Liverpool’s greatest servants under Jurgen Klopp. However as negotiations continue to drag on between the club and the Dutchman over a new contract the likelihood of his departure from Anfield grows more certain with each passing day.
It will be sad to see Wijnaldum depart the club. The midfielder has made some indelible memories with the club’s supporters and for that he will forever remembered and loved at Anfield.
From scoring the important goal to help qualify the Reds for the Champions League to his brace in the come-back against Barcelona.

Whoever comes in to replace him will have big boots to fill.
But perhaps as Wijnaldum nears his thirties, the club are letting him go at the perfect time.
Replacing Wijnaldum with a younger and fresher player could help ensure the future of the Reds.
There have been many candidates floating around.
One name who has been neglected thus far and deserves a mention is Red Bull Salzburg’s Enock Mwepu.
Earlier this week The Athletic reported that Tottenham are looking to sign the Zambian midfielder, and if the report is true the Reds should look to hijack the deal.
Enock Mwepu is a pressing-monster, he made the most pressures out of anyone in the Champions League group-stages. His ability to read the game earnt him the nickname ‘computer’ and that sort of playing style would suit Jurgen Klopp’s style of play impeccably.
In a recent interview with First Time Finish, Enock Mwepu’s former coach, Lee Kawanu, said Mwepu can become as good as ‘Yaya Toure’ which is high praise and a promising omen for the Reds. The article delves into Mwepu’s inspiring journey to Europe and his coach hinted there has been recent Premier League interest in the player.
In addition to that, Enock Mwepu is a childhood Liverpool supporter and has previously said it was a ‘dream’ to play at Anfield.
Mwepu has proven he is ready for the next. Last season his terrific performance at Anfield was just one proof of his outstanding talent. This season he was Red Bull Salzburg’s best player in the Champions League group-stages playing against Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid.
The club have enjoyed success buying former Salzburg graduates too, look at the likes of Keita, Minamino and Mane excelling for the Reds.
There is no reason why Enock Mwepu should not follow suit.
Do you think Enock Mwepu would be a good signing?
