Liverpool want this Man Utd target.
It is the fiercest rivalry in world football. The two neighbours across either sides are divided by hostility and a genuine distaste for the opposition. It history dates back to the days before football and it is enshrouded in myths and legends. Of course in recent years the history of that rivalry has somewhat dwindled. For many decades United vested the power in England. But the hegemony has shifted and Liverpool have found new rivals to compete against.
However in one of the most topsy-turvy seasons that could all change.
At this current moment in time, United look like the most likely challenges for the Premier League title and the ones with the most chance of knocking the Reds off their perch.

However with the teams soon to play each other on the pitch, it seems like it is not only on the field where the two clubs will fight on.
According to a report by the Daily Mirror, the two clubs will also enter a transfer war in the January window.
Jack Grealish has been one of the revelations in the Premier League over the course of the last couple of seasons. United were keen admirers of the midfielder. However, according to the report by the Mirror the Reds will now also enter the race.
With Georginio Wijnaldum set to leave Anfield there would definitely be a need for midfield reinforcements. However Jack Grealish would be a costly addition. Aston Villa are set to demand a steep figure for their prized assett who signed a new contract in the summer.
Although the prospect of Jack Grealish lining up in a Reds shirt is mouth-watering, especially with the club potentially beating United to his signature. However, there are probably better and cheaper alternative solutions who would also suit the Reds style of play.
So yes this rumour is unlikely to come to fruition. Approaches for players like Yves Bissouma are more likely.
He fits the profile of the club better and he would be available for a lot cheaper.
What do you think about the Red signing Jack Grealish?
