Liverpool could have a new star.

Over a decade ago there were many eyes batted when Jurgen Klopp lured a Polish striker to Borussia Dortmund. Many questioned whether Robert Lewandowski had the ability to make the step-up to the Bundesliga. But under the current Liverpool coach, the Pole thrived and thanks to Klopp’s careful nurturing Robert Lewandowski is now one of the best players in the world.

The German could have another Pole at Anfield to fashion into a superstar.

Mateusz Musialkowski’s arrival was undermined in the summer with some high profile arrivals in the club’s first team.

However the 17 year old Polish forward came with an impressive pedigree. And while it has taken him time to settle into the club’s youth system, in recent months Mateusz Musialkowski has started to shine for the club’s U18 side.

Musialkowski has impressed with some outstanding finishes and mesmerising runs, cleaving his way through hoards of defenders in one go.

Of course Musialkowski still needs time to settle at the club. However with the recent introduction of the Reds training facilities which brings the first team and the academy closer together, the Polish youngster will have more chances to prove himself in front of Jurgen Klopp.

And with the club’s heavy fixture schedule and injury crisis if Musialkowski continues to impress he could get closer and closer to the first team.

Just like Lewandowski, Klopp could work with another Polish super talent.

He has already worked miracles with a number of Polish players other than Lewandowski, could Mateusz Musialkowski be the next one?
