By Bence Bocsak
Liverpool have a new centre-back at last.
Liverpool’s injury woes have been well documented this season. No area has been hit harder at the club than the position of centre-back. The Reds went into the season with just three senior centre-backs and currently all three of them are sitting on the side-lines. All three are likely to miss a crucial crunch game against Manchester United.
But while things are looking a little bleak for the Reds on the pitch. Off it the well oiled machine of the Reds is working just the way you would like.
According to The Athletic via the Daily Mail, the Reds have beaten their arch rivals United to the signing of Stefan Bajcetic from Celta Vigo.

The centre-back is of Serbian descent and he is only 16 years of age but is rated extremely highly with the Reds having monitored him for a long time and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also thought to be keen on the player.
Of course at such a tender age it is unlikely that Stefan Bajcetic will feature for the first team any time soon, however his arrival is another astute addition to the club’s impressive academy roster.
A team which already includes new arrivals from the summer like Mateusz Musialkowski and Melkamu Fraudendorf, as well as Calum Scanlon.
Bajcetic is likely to go straight into the club’s U18 side who are competing for the title in the U18 Premier League and have recorded some impressive performances this season.
With academy players excelling at Anfield this season, and the likes of Harvey Elliott catching the eye on loan, the future is certainly bright for the Reds.
Stefan Bajcetic who comes from a football crazed family. His father, Srđan played at Celta Vigo, Braga and Red Star Belgrade, will be hoping to follow suit and make a name for himself at Anfield.
The new training facilities at the club will certainly give the young man an opportunity to shine with the academy training under the same roof as the first team. Jurgen Klopp who is a staunch advocate of promoting talent will undoubtedly be keeping a close eye.
Are you excited to see Stefan Bajcetic in a red shirt?
