Mohamed Salah for one reason or another has been severely out of form in recent weeks. The Liverpool hero looks a shadow of the player who titillated hearts the hearts of the Kop. The Egyptian star has been sluggish, weak and unable to beat his man one vs one.

In addition to that, in front of goal Salah has been wasteful, missing key chances and sometimes unable to even hit the target.

There are murmurs and whispers about the Egyptian star potentially departing the Reds.

What was first greeted with horror and disgust is now being seriously considered by the supporters.

Mohamed Salah’s time at Liverpool could be coming to an end.

If Salah’s impotency in front of goal continues, then maybe just maybe, one has to admit it, the Reds might be doing themselves a favour by selling the Egyptian king.

Salah will be an indelible name on the Kop for decades and centuries to come. However, with the Liverpool forward edging closer to his thirties and maybe slipping away from his prime years, there might not be a better time than now to cash in on him.

One player who the Reds could look to replace him with is Jamaican international Leon Bailey.

The 23 year old is rapid, with a great work-ethic and a prowess for beating his opponents one vs one.

Not only that Bailey has an astute shot on him. He’s blessed with a powerful strike that can be potent and extremely accurate.

This season Leon Bailey has 9 goals and 8 assists in 23 games for Bayer Leverkusen and has been predominantly playing on the right in the same position as Salah for Liverpool.

At 23 years of age, Leon Bailey will only get better and better.

Speaking to First Time Finish, his father and agent, Craig Butler revealed that he believes Leon Bailey has the ability to become the ‘world’s best player.’

And what better place to fulfil that goal than at Anfield?

It might not be the glamour signing of Mbappe or Haaland, but Leon Bailey could offer just as much as the other two stars, and he could come at a more affordable price range.

Only time will tell but if Mohamed Salah is to leave the Reds, Leon Bailey could be his perfect replacement.
