Jurgen Klopp can still bring these men to Liverpool.
It’s do or die. Go bust or go home. There is no place in Liverpool for dithering. For petty explanations about this and that. The Reds’ board must solve the glaringly obvious deficiency in the squad.
The club’s lack of centre-back options could not only come back to haunt them. It could have a transformative impact on the team for the worse. Without any reliable options, Klopp’s team might plummet down the table and even the top four would not look like a feasible achievement for the Reds if they continue to drop points due to their defensive frailties.
Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool need to act.
So the moment is now. The club must do everything in their means to save the season.

Here are five potentially cheap but reliable options Klopp could target.
Omar Colley
Simple and easy. The Gambian is a solid defender with the strength that could suit the Premier League. He ranks in the top ten centre-backs for defensive duels won in the Serie A. He’s good on the ball, has a bit of pace about him. Knows when to challenge for the ball. He’s also comfortable playing from the back and likes to play the ball into the opposition’s final third just like Virgil Van Dijk always used to do.
At 1.91 metres he also commands the air, and he would add much needed aerial power to the club’s defence.
The Reds have been linked with him in the past. Sampdoria are not a stalwart name in Italian football so they might accept a cheap offer for the 28 year old who is valued at £4.05 million by Transfermarkt.
Pape Abou Cisse
Yes the club’s last purchase from Olympiakos has not been a major success. Kostas Tsimikas has hardly played but that’s been largely down to niggles and Andrew Robertson’s brilliant form.
Cisse is a solid option though and he is one guaranteed to be available on the cheap.
The 25 year old Senegalese has impressed in outings against Wolves, Arsenal and Manchester City in the Champions League and Europa League respectively. He even netted against the Gunners.
He has pace, and tremendous height standing at a towering 1.97 metres.
On top of that Cisse also holds the most defensive duels percentage won in the Greek Super League by a centre-back and ranked in the top ten in the Champions League this season too.
