Liverpool are in a major crisis. This is no longer about the title. That has slipped away from their grasp way before. Now the season is about self-preservation. At this point even the top four looks like a slim chance for the Reds.

What’s worrying is Klopp has played his easy games. He’s played the vast majority of the bottom six already. Now the Reds have tough fights against their rivals and if they don’t find a way to pick themselves up they could be in major trouble.

The ramifications of not making the Champions League could be massive for the Reds.

It could be impact the club’s transfer activity in the summer and it could send them spiralling down the Premier League table for the next few years.

Liverpool and Klopp need to pick up the pace.

Key players would want to depart.

No one would want to lose a year of their career without the playing in the world’s most elite competition.

A potential incoming it could impact is the Reds’ pursuit of Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid.

According to Ok Dario via the Daily Express Jurgen Klopp is ‘lobbying’ the club’s board to buy Vinicius Junior in the summer.

The Brazilian is blessed with rapid pace and great agility and he could be an astute option for Jurgen Klopp’s reds.

He’s been somewhat out of form and out of favour in Madrid, but at 20 years of age he is still relatively young and learning his trade so it is not unexpected that he would suffer a blip in form.

Nonetheless with Real Madrid struggling for finances, they might be willing to let go of their prized asset in order to recruit a more ready-made player.

This is how the Reds could pounce on the situation.

And they could stand a good chance to bring Vinicius Junior in if they make the top four.

If there is no top four at the end of the season, those chances would become slim for the club.

And many of the Reds’ other targets too would become very unlikely to be want to move to Merseyside.

So the performances on the pitch must pick up. Otherwise the Reds could be in big trouble.

Do you think Vinicius Junior would be a good signing?
