There is a dream at Liverpool. A vivid ethereal fantasy. One that is hard to fathom for most. One that is unlikely to ever happen. But maybe just maybe, it might…

Ignore the recent blip in form, Jurgen Klopp has performed miracles at Anfield since his arrival at the club. He has weaved a magic wand and made Divock Origi into a goal-scoring machine, Dejan Lovren a reliable centre-back and Mohamed Salah from Chelsea flop to the best player in the world.

Under Klopp, the Reds have also been introduced to a superhuman behind the scenes. Michael Edwards has sanctioned some of the club’s best transfers since the turn of the century.

But amidst the current climate even the Reds have struggled.

Liverpool want a new saviour.

Despite this the supporters continue to dream.

They dream of a man-made machine. A phenom unlike any other. A generational talent who has flirted with the Reds on multiple occasions.

His name is Kylian Mbappe. He is the speed sorcerer who has the ability to enchant his opposition, and lately he has been enchanting Reds supporters all over the world with his affectionate advances towards the club.

It has ignited a belief. A conspiracy theory so to say about a potential move from the Reds for the French star. Fans weave together the wildest and loosest ends to create tangibly cohesive theories about a possible move.

The truth is probably somewhere in between. The omens judging by the Reds’ previous transfer window are certainly not in the club’s favour.

And neither is Paris Saint Germain’s steep asking price.

According to GFFN the Parisians will demand €200m from Liverpool if they are to part ways with Kylian Mbappe.

Kylian Mbappe might be the caster of spells on the pitch. He might appear at times like a celestial being from some otherwordly source, but in the current climate such a steep price even for a player of his quality would surely be unfeasible for the Reds.

Of course Michael Edwards has made dreams into reality in the past. As has Jurgen Klopp.

With the two in charge you certainly wouldn’t rule it out.
