Diogo Jota trends after Sheffield United game
Liverpool forward Diogo Jota trended on Twitter as fans panicked during the Sheffield United game.
There were a few eyebrow-raising selections from manager Jurgen Klopp, who was forced into them by some bad luck and a few dodgy ligaments.
Adrian was back as a Premier League goalkeeper following Alisson and Caoimhin Kelleher were both unavailable for the Blades clash, while Ben Davies was left frustrated in his search for a Liverpool debut as he was ruled out due to a slight injury issue.
Diogo Jota trended as Liverpool won
The front three was the same front three that we’ve come to know and love, even if that love has sometimes been a bit of a difficult relationship, while Curtis Jones continue his development with another start and goal.
Jota managed to pick up an unspecified illness, which kept him out of this squad, much to the worry and disappointment of a whole legion of Liverpool fans.
This seems to be why the Portugal international sparked a flurry of tweets, even though everything was okay in the end as the Reds beat Sheffield United 2-0.

Klopp will be desperate to reintegrate Jota with the first-team as Liverpool have been left with little-to-no competition for those forward places. Divock Origi doesn’t appear to be anywhere near the side, while Takumi Minamino has been loaned out to Southampton.
Xherdan Shaqiri was given a burst of starts from midfield but hasn’t been trusted with a run of games in attack and that has left Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah without any competition.
Diogo Jota can’t come back soon enough
The former Wolves man can’t come back soon enough. His flurry of goals could have been an over performance, but the way Jota attacks the box and provides a different option would have been vital tools in Klopp’s armoury.
With three games in 10 days, including a Premier League fixture against Chelsea as well as the second round of the last-16 Champions League clash against RB Leipzig. Fulham is the posh filling in that sandwich, which could be a good game to bring Jota back for.
