This is how Liverpool will line-up for the rest of the season
By Zubin Daver
Jurgen Klopp will have to make a switch in his approach for the remaining few games this season and move from a 4-3-3 to 4-2-3-1 for better control.
The former gives the team a better chance at holding the ball when in possession as it presents with an outer or an extra option for a short pass. It also ensures that both the wings and the central positions are well covered in case of defending a counter-attack or absorbing pressure.
Liverpool should shift strategies for the remaining few games.
Liverpool need to change something
Klopp has to play Fabinho in midfield. He can play a tad bit deeper than when Liverpool have all their star players fit, but playing Ozan Kabak and Nat Phillips at centre back and a midfield of Fabinho and Thiago in a double pivot seems the right thing to do, albeit theoretically.
My starting line-up for the next few games would be:
Alisson; Trent – Kabak – Phillips – Robertson; Fabinho – Thiago; Salah – Firmino – Mane; Jota
This kind of set-up gives Liverpool enough attacking prowess on the counter as well as a ball-playing midfielder (Thiago) and a ball-winning midfielder (Fabinho) to help out in both attack and defence depending on the situation.

This also ensures that we have enough depth on the bench. Something that we will need given the gruelling fixture schedule.
Alex Oxlade Chamberlin, Naby Keita, Curtis Jones, Adrian, Neco Williams, Xherdan Shaqiri, James Milner are all capable players who can help whenever called upon. This line-up only gets stronger when Virgil van Dijk, Jordan Henderson, Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and the rest are back from injury.
This season has been nothing but shambles from a Liverpool perspective. Yes, there has been a lot of bad luck and a few drab performances, however, this team will stick together and come out of this dark tunnel only stronger. Their hunger will be restored for next season once the team is fully fit.
Jurgen Klopp always finds a way to turn things around. He will once again…
