Liverpool are a team in desperate and dire need of a rebuild. The ageing players in the squad means the club need a new fresh injection of youth. The likes of Salah and Mane arrived when they were 24 or 25 just as they were about to hit their prime.

Klopp needs to sign players of similar calibre.

Diogo Jota’s arrival was the perfect example.

And a certain Georginio Wijnaldum replacement could also be exactly that.

FSG need to invest in Liverpool.

But even further, the Reds will need to invest into the squad big time in the summer.

A centre-back signing will be crucial, as will a traditional number nine and even a back-up for Trent Alexander-Arnold at right back would not go amiss.

In terms of the centre-back candidate, Ozan Kabak could be a decent option. But the Reds do not necessarily have to purchase the Turkish international. There are other options on the table too.

They could go back in for Sven Botman or Duje Caletta-Carr. Both of whom could be excellent options.

In midfield the Wijnaldum replacement is obvious, someone like Enock Mwepu or Yves Bissouma could be perfect for the role.

The number nine striker role could be take on by Patson Daka, or Jonathan David, both of them are young and fresh and in fine form for their clubs. Donyell Malen could be another smart option too.

Meanwhile for right-back back-ups for Trent Alexander-Arnold, German international Ridle Baku who is excellent defensively and offensively could be a smart move.

In terms of a clear-cut while things will be difficult, the Reds will have to shift out a fair few players. Nathan Phillips should be one. James Milner too. Divock Origi is an absolute must. His time is desperately up at Anfield. Meanwhile money can also be earned for players like Harry Wilson, Sheyi Ojo, Loris Karius, Taiwo Awoniyi and Marko Grujic who are currently out on loan.

One thing is for certain if FSG are serious about their commitment to the Reds, they will need to invest in the club and give Klopp the freedom to make at least 3-4 key signings.
