Liverpool lineup vs Leipzig: Thiago, Firmino dropped, Kabak back
RB – Trent Alexander-Arnold
The 22-year-old started on the bench against Fulham before coming on as a substitute in the second half. Alexander-Arnold will undoubtedly start against Leipzig and will be eager to put a solid performance. The England international has two assists in the Champions League this season and he’ll probably try to increase that number on Thursday.

CB – Ozan Kabak
The Turkish international did not feature against Fulham due to a minor fitness issue. However, he trained with the team on Tuesday and has travelled to Budapest with the rest of the squad.
Hence, there’s a good chance of him starting. Kabak had a pretty good game in the previous leg and will be looking to produce another strong display on Thursday. However, it won’t be much of a surprise if Klopp opts to start Nathaniel Phillips ahead of the former Schalke man.
CB – Fabinho
The Brazilian international started on the bench against Fulham but came on as a substitute in midfield. Fabinho will start on Thursday but he’ll most likely be in the heart of the defense, partnering Kabak.
The Brazilian international will be expected to be solid at the back while aiding his team offensively through his long balls. There might still be a chance of Fabinho starting in midfield if Klopp opts for a centre-back pairing of Kabak and Phillips.
LB – Andy Robertson
The Scottish international unsurprisingly will be starting in his usual left-back position and will be expected to be solid both defensively and offensively.
