Spanish side Real Sociedad want to sign a €15 million Liverpool man as they look to strengthen ahead of their potential European campaign next season.
The team, who are fifth in La Liga and chasing a spot in 2021/2022’s Europa League, have turned their eye towards the Premier League as one of their star players may be on the move.
Alexander Isak had a big reputation when Borussia Dortmund landed him from Swedish side AIK in 2016. The forward had scored 13 goals in 29 appearances as a teenager, but things didn’t go to plan in Germany.
Liverpool could sell in the summer
Despite a very productive spell with Willem II in the Eredivisie, which yielded 14 goals and seven assists in 18 games, Dortmund sold Isak to Real Sociedad for just £5.85 million – although BVB holds a buy-back clause for £30 million.
Things have been going well for Isak and he’s now played 77 times for the Spanish side and scored 28 goals, with five assists.
El Gol Digital has reported that Real Sociedad is willing to listen to offers for their Swedish star but do want to line up a replacement. And the man bookmarked to fill Isak’s shoes is Divock Origi.

Origi is a legend among the Anfield faithful but his power has waned over the past few years. That Champions League final goal was the highlight of his career, but it’s been downhill ever since then.
Divock Origi is on his last legs
The Belgian has struggled for game time despite Roberto Firmino’s issues in front of goal, and the club has looked to sell the player in the past.
€15 million might be a little bit less than what Liverpool were hoping to receive for Origi in normal times, but they should accept the money because it’s still a decent amount of money to get for someone who has slipped beyond playing a squad role into something less regular than that.
