Liverpool transfer target named in Goal NXGN 2021
Liverpool transfer target Telles Magno has been named in Goal’s NXGN 2021 as one of the best youngsters in the world.
This is a pretty long-standing rumour. Almost a year ago, reports emerged linking the Vasco de Gama starlet with a move to Merseyside.
Magno’s club are in financial troubles and that’s led to some thinking that Liverpool could pick him up for cheaper than they normally would, but that price could go up following his performance in the NXGN list.
Liverpool are scouting
Goal rated the forward as the 41st best youngster in the world right now. Romario, Edmundo and Philippe Coutinho have all come from the Vasco academy, and Liverpool would hope for a similar success story.
However, Lazio, Roma, Sevilla, Bayer Leverkusen and Krasnodar are also interested in signing the youngster and so Michael Edwards might have to move quickly if he wants to secure a deal.
He’s tall, standing at over six foot, and is played more on the wing than through the middle as he’s developed a little bit. That means Jurgen Klopp could be presented with a versatile player who is used to getting in goalscoring positions, but can also function down the wing as well.

Magno signed a professional contract when he was just 16 and was handed his professional debut as an extremely young man. He’s now played 60 games and has just five goals under his belt, which doesn’t sound like a very good return for someone with a £45 million release clause.
No matter how exciting this Brazilian may be, it’s unlikely that Liverpool would make a move for him. That release clause is a massive amount, a fee we never see the Reds splash on someone so young.
Magno would be better served to move somewhere else first, gaining European experience in the process, before a move somewhere like Liverpool.
