Liverpool could land the exciting next Simon Mignolet
By Bence Bocsak
Adrian and his future at Liverpool has long been decided. The Spaniard has had a topsy turvy spell at Anfield. Responsible for some crucial saves, Adrian also committed a fair few howlers during his time with the club and was on the receiving end of a few embarrassing score-lines.
His time at the club was a bit like Simon Mignolet’s. Though the Belgian was probably a bit more consistent and reliable than the Spaniard.
Nonetheless, Klopp will need to find a back-up goalkeeper in the summer, with Adrian most likely leaving the club.

And it looks like he has set his sights on a player from the same region as his former goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.
Liverpool need a new goalkeeper.
According to Calcio Mercato the Reds are interested in Maarten Vandevoordt. The 19 year old goalkeeper has already made 17 senior appearances for his club KRC Genk and has conceded 25 goals in the process keeping 3 clean-sheets.
A tall and acrobatic keeper, fans should not be alarmed by Vandevoordt’s lack of clean-sheets. Or the high volume of goals he has conceded.
Genk have struggled this season and are only currently third on the Jupiler Pro League table.
When Vandevoordt has come in he has always done well enough to catch the eye which is likely what alerted Liverpool’s attention.
At 19 he would obviously come in to deputise some of the Reds’ senior goalkeepers and he would have time to develop and flourish in the club’s academy first.
With Caoimhin Kelleher impressing as back-up during parts of the season, it is likely that Vandevoordt would only be third choice to begin with.
Would you take Maarten Vandevoordt at Anfield?
