Roma star Radja Nainggolan is quaking in his boots at the thought of facing Liverpool in the Champions League semi-final.

As reported by the Metro, Nainggolan has admitted that he’d much rather have been drawn with Real Madrid or Bayern Munich than face Jurgen Klopp’s Reds.

The midfielder claimed Liverpool were the toughest team to face out of the three because they give their all to the cause.

‘It’s not that they have more quality than Real Madrid or Bayern, but they put a lot of hard work in and have nothing to lose,” the website reported that he said.

“I wasn’t happy with the draw, because in my view Liverpool were the toughest team out of the three,” concluded the Belgian.

Talent is all well and good, but without application its essentially worthless. Luckily for the Reds, their star men have the drive and commitment to make the most of their skill.

Klopp made the decision to rest a number of key players against West Brom on Saturday and they will be in prime condition to take the fight to the Italian side.

Nainggolan is going to be in for the fight of his life when he rocks up to Anfield on Tuesday night. The atmosphere will be electric as Koppites dream of making it to another Champions League final.

After blowing away Manchester City over two legs, anything is possible for Klopp’s team. Mohamed Salah is in the form of his life and there are stars littered around the pitch.

With Virgil van Dijk, Liverpool have a defender that can dominate the best attacks – while the midfield has a tantalizing mix of flair and steel.

As disappointing as the 2-2 draw against the Baggies was, especially given the fact that they came back from two goals down, the players will know better than to let that get to them.

Encouragingly, you could see senior pros like James Milner demanding more from his teammates. That fighting spirit will prove to be an enormous plus.
