GTFOH! Liverpool fans react to Mane to Real Madrid transfer rumors

Liverpool fans are reacting to a transfer story that Real Madrid are negotiating to buy Liverpool forward Sadio Mane this summer.
Real Madrid are working to an agreement to sign striker Sadio Mane from Liverpool. At least according to reports from France. Popular French soccer twitter account @GFFN is reporting that France Football have this story.

They say no deal is confirmed but journalist Arnaud Tulipier is revealing that Real Madrid have been planning this move for some time. However, the surprise departure of Zinedine Zidane last week has thrown the deal into uncertainty.

There is a mixture of stubborn disbelief, anger and pessimistic resignation from some fans. Most will reserve judgement until more reliable sources report it. There are at least two other reasons for this story to appear than it being true on face value.
Real Madrid have some how taken on a kind of rivalry with Liverpool in recent months. I think it has to do with the fact our fans had more fun than theirs at the Champions League final even though we lost.
There is also the possibility that this rumor stems from Sadio Mane or those close to him. Not because it is true or because he wants to leave but to help him in contract negotiations. Roberto Firmino just picked up a huge extension and pay rise with his new contract. Mane and his representatives will be hoping for something to match the Brazilian.

There has been no reports of any unhappiness from Mane and he appeared to be enjoying his football this season as part of Liverpool’s incredible attacking force under Jurgen Klopp. This rumor should definitely be filtered as hearsay for the mean time.
