Premier League club heavily linked with Reds man
Cardiff City have been heavily linked with a return for Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic.
Grujic spent the second half of the 2017/2018 season on loan with the Bluebirds and now Wales Online have reported that another deal to take the Serb to the Premier League newcomers is about to go through.
Although the 22-year-old sacrificed his place in the side towards the end of the season, he was a regular during Cardiff’s push for promotion and made 13 appearances and scored one goal.
Several teams are interested in a permanent move for Grujic, said the newspaper, although Liverpool prefer the loan option. Fulham as well as a clutch of Serie A sides that include Lazio and Atalanta are interested in the World Cup man, but Wales Online believes that City are going to win the race for his signature.

After spending some time in the Championship, it’ll be interesting to see how the midfielder handles the step up in quality. If Grujic does move to Cardiff, the deal could be a huge sign of things to come. If he performs well, a chance at Anfield may come his way. Badly, and a permanent move away beckons.
With the midfield well stocked, a move for the youngster does make sense. It’s highly unlikely that manager Jurgen Klopp will be able to give Grujic much game time, and certainly not the amount of minutes that he’ll need to aid his development as a footballer.
Bluebirds manager Neil Warnock is already aware of the Serb’s qualities, his personality and where he’d fit into his side – and that all bodes well for Grujic’s chances of top flight action.
The 22-year-old is currently resting after his World Cup campaign came to an end, and didn’t play against Tranmere Rovers as Klopp ramps up his pre-season campaign.

Liverpool fans have seen the benefit a good loan spell makes, and provided that both parties are happy with arrangements it should prove to be a good move.
