Liverpool continue to be linked to current Leicester City center-back Harry Maguire.
Following on from reports two weeks ago, more rumours surfaced today suggesting the interest is genuine.
Fresh off the back of an impressive World Cup, it is no surprise that Maguire finds himself linked to a number of top English clubs.
Previous reports had appeared to suggest that Manchester United were odds on favorites to sign the defender, though with interested arising from Merseyside, his destination appears less clear.

Should Liverpool wish to secure the services of Maguire, it certainly won’t come cheap. Having recently forked out £75m for Virgil van Dijk, the Reds have driven up the market for defenders. In Maguire’s case, the English premium will also be baked in.
According to local publication, LeicestershireLive, the figures quoted for Maguire’s signature could be around £50m. It remains to be seen if this price-tag is inflated in an attempt to ward off interest.
With Liverpool also seemingly in the market for Nabil Fekir of Lyon, and a new goalkeeper, splashing an additional £50m on a center-back could well be a stretch.
In a post-match press gathering earlier this week, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp was quick to praise current center-back Dejan Lovren. RedmenTV captured his agreement that the Croatian stalwart is among the best center-backs in the world.

Whether Klopp genuinely believes this is up for debate; however, the German clearly backs Lovren.
The Croatian has experienced many high’s and low’s at Anfield, but his strong finish to the season, and impressive performances in the World Cup, offer hope he has the ability to consistently perform for Liverpool.
It is not clear cut that Maguire would represent a remarkable improvement over Lovren. If he was to sign for Klopp, it isn’t certain that he would walk straight into the team in the way Van Dijk did.
