Mohamed Salah is unshakeable as one of the best players in Europe. Roberto Firmino is essential to Jurgen Klopp’s high pressing style. Therefore many of the attacking target Liverpool are pursuing will view Sadio Mane as the man they can replace.
But the reality is the Senegalese forward is an exceptional player who only looks like getting better. When a player like Sessegnon looks at Liverpool he must wonder how long it will be before he becomes a regular.
However when he looks at the Tottenham Hotspur squad he sees that Eric Lamela and Lucas Moura are the obstacles. Neither of those players is anywhere the level of the Liverpool forwards. It is a far less intimidating prospect for incoming stars. Perhaps Christian Pulisic feels the same way.
