Liverpool fans are hyped about the latest transfer rumor and are finding reasons why this attacker is “better than Nabil Fekir”.

The window is closing fast and all the hope of one final signing is being channeled into each rumor that comes along. The newest piece of speculation is that Liverpool are moving for Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey.

The Jamaican international confirmed there has been multiple Premier League clubs vying for his signature this summer including Chelsea and Liverpool.

The 20-year-old has been impressing in the Bundesliga bagging 12 goals and 6 assists last season. He is the ideal ‘Klopp’ purchase; hardworking, great attitude, blistering pace and skill.

He also fits the FSG age and value profile as he is reported to be available for £40 million – or less than Everton paid for Richarlison.

Inevitably Liverpool fans are pumped about the possibility of picking up one of the Bundesliga’s most exciting talents and are making some big claims about his ability.

One such assertion is that he is actually better than other transfer targets from this window such as Nabil Fekir and Christian Pulisic.

While the claim he is better than Pulisic is a fair argument – he actually out perfromed the American last season – Fekir is a more complete product.

The Frenchman does not have the same ceiling and potential to develop but he is already performing at the highest level. He took Ligue 1 by storm last season as Lyon captain and recently won the World Cup; coming on as a substitute in the final.

Next. Will the Reds win the Premier League this season???. dark

Leon Bailey would be a magnificent addition to the squad and perhaps more of what Liverpool need right now. There is precious little cover for the front three and Bailey would be an excellent understudy for Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.
