Rio rips into Chelsea but rates Red’s chances
Former Manchester United star and current pundit Rio Ferdinand has ripped in Chelsea but rates Liverpool this season.
Talking as part of the BT Sport panel, Ferdinand has claimed that the Blues aren’t good enough to win the Premier League, after only two games!
The Red Devil then went on to say that he doesn’t believe Maurizio Sarri’s team are better than the Anfield side, who opened up their campaign with a convincing 4-0 win over West Ham United.
Ferdinand’s comments come hot on the heels of Sarri’s admission that his side won’t challenge for the title, based on current form. However they have won both their games so far, including a victory against Arsenal.

Jurgen Klopp’s side don’t play until Monday night against Crystal Palace in London, and the German will be eager to continue that good run of form. With several high profile arrivals during the summer transfer window, expectations are running high already.
Liverpool have a strong spine with world-class talent featuring heavily down the middle with Alisson Becker, Virgil van Dijk, Naby Keita and Mohamed Salah running the show. But Chelsea retained the services of Eden Hazard, which always makes them a threat. And this is something that Ferdinand agrees with.
Two games into the season is ridiculously early to be making such predictions, and early form is often no true indication of long-term potential. Fans of the Blues will certainly hope that this is the case, while Liverpool supporters will want the opposite to be true.
In other news, Reds fans can’t get enough of Danny Ings hitting the back of the net for Southampton against Everton on Saturday.
The former Liverpool man scored after finding acres of space in the penalty box as he jumped on a loose ball and buried it into the back of the net.
