Liverpool trio Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Naby Keita could all be available to play against Huddersfield on Saturday according to current reports.

Liverpool Twitter went into meltdown today as news came through of Naby Keita leaving the field with injury. However our current understanding is there is no reason to think he won’t play alongside other injury concerns Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah against Huddersfield Town.

Keita left the match between Guinea and Rwanda with an apparent thigh injury but there is no news on the extent. It could be a strain or something more serious. It may even be a bad case of cramp for all we know. Or perhaps he is playing up an injury to be ready for the Reds!

Many were concerned that he was carried off. However there was a stretcher brought out to him and he didn’t need it. That indicates the injury may not be as bad as many are fearing.

Without further information from the Guinea camp there can be no predictions made for this weekend. Even then the Melwood staff may have a different assessment – for better or worse.

Sadio Mane picked up a thumb injury with Senegal but is likely to miss one game at most. He has not been ruled out for this weekend yet and may still take the field against the Terriers.

Mohamed Salah withdrew late from Egypt’s game at the weekend and will miss their next international in midweek. Again there has been no news to indicate he will miss any game time at all for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Perhaps they all miss the game and the Reds have a mini-injury crisis. But more likely is that these injuries all get shrugged off in the next week as Liverpool take on Huddersfield Town, Red Star Belgrade and Cardiff City.
