Liverpool are bracing themselves for another January transfer window of Barcelona trying to sign players from the Reds with three in the Catalan’s sights.

In previous transfer windows Barcelona have snooped, disrupted and made moves for Liverpool players. But they have never gone for three at once. Now it looks like they are wanting to a trio of Reds this winter if the latest reports are to be believed.

There has been noted interest for a few months in Alberto Moreno. The left back is out of contract next summer and Barca have been interested in adding another left back to the squad after they sold Lucas Digne to Everton last summer.

The Spaniard has yet to be offered a new deal at Anfield and is expected to leave when his current contract is up. That may lead to Jurgen Klopp being willing to grab a fee for him at the last opportunity in January. Much will depend on how he views the squad’s ability to cover the left back position in the absence of Andy Robertson.

There has also been persistent rumors of Barcelona moving for Roberto Firmino. The Brazilian is one of the most versatile and hard-working forwards in the world. They apparently view him as a successor to Luis Suarez. However he is so crucial at Anfield you would expect Klopp and FSG to fight that move to the death.

The latest rumor to hit the news is that the La Liga side want Dejan Lovren to bolster their defense. They are struggling for experienced defenders after Thomas Vermaelen and Samuel Umtiti were both ruled out until the new year.

The Croatian defender has lost his place in the Liverpool first team due to the exceptional form of Joe Gomez. A desperate Barcelona could offer up a fee the Reds can’t refuse.

There are not many who would be sad to see Moreno and Lovren leave but a Firmino departure would be devastating after the moves of Suarez and Philippe Coutinho to Spain.
