Liverpool still in for Adrien Rabiot claims French transfer story
By David Gate
Liverpool are still in the running for PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot when his contract expires in the summer transfer window according to the French press.
The transfer rumor of Adrien Rabiot to Liverpool has gone very quiet over the last few months but that does not mean it is dead. The latest news today on parisunited.fr is that the Reds are still in for the impending free agent.
The article claims that three Premier League sides are vying for his signature alongside interest from Germany and Spain. Tottenham Hotspur are clearly the most desperate to land him but the player is hesitant to join a team that is unlikely to challenge for trophies.

Spurs already have former PSG players Lucas Moura and Serge Aurier on the books but Rabiot may look at how neither of them are first team choices at present and decide he wants play for a manager with a better reputation that Pochettino at developing players such as Jurgen Klopp.
His former club Man City are also in the mix but his preference for a Premier League club is believed to be Liverpool. He has posted several times on social media about the Anfield and the Reds.
The French international was expected to sign a pre-contract agreement with Barcelona in January but the La Liga side moving for Frenkie de Jong of Ajax appears to have put a kink in that deal.
In the meantime, Rabiot has lost his place in the PSG side; he hasn’t featured for the Ligue 1 leaders since December and has only 12 league starts this season.
There has been some question among the Liverpool fanbase as to whether he is the kind of player Klopp will move for. While he is no slouch, he is not like the dynamic, all-action midfielder Liverpool currently has on its roster.
Perhaps that is the draw to Rabiot; that he is a silky passer and technician and could offer Klopp something different in the midfield mix.
