Liverpool are ready to repel interest from Real Madrid for Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane as the La Liga side look to spend a £240 million transfer budget.

Keeping walking Real Madrid, they’re not for sale. The desperate La Liga giants are trying to rebuild their pathetic attack by snooping around Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah in the transfer market.

After being dumped out of the Champions League by Ajax and trailing Barcelona by 12 points in La Liga, recently returned manager Zinedine Zidane wants to reinvigorate their failing strike force in the summer. Top of their list is Kylian Mbappe but he would cost the entirety of their £240 million budget.

Therefore they are hoping to shop at Anfield in a two-for-one. But this is not Tesco. Salah alone would be worth between £180-200 million. And Sadio Mane might be even better than the Egyptian.

Liverpool are already making it known that they will not be selling. The progress under Jurgen Klopp has been incredible; a Champions League final appearance last season plus this year’s title challenge.

The Reds are no longer a stepping stone to greater things. They ARE the great things. The contract extensions handed out to a bunch of Liverpool stars proves the club is serious about capitalizing on the current squad.

The club have made proclamations of intent to keep top players before but have lost them any way. There was a concerted effort to keep both Philippe Coutinho and Luis Suarez and resist the overtures from Barcelona.

The key difference this time round is that these players are not in a hurry to leave and believe they can fulfill their dreams in front of the Kop.

As long as Liverpool are tearing up the Premier League and Europe there will be jealous eyes from other big clubs and rumors like these. I’m not losing sleep over it this time.
