Liverpool have tabled their first transfer bid of the summer according to reports from Portugal that the Reds have made a move for a Benfica player.
As we head in April the transfer rumors will start to solidify and real deals will begin to appear. There are reports from Portugal that Liverpool have made their first transfer bid of the summer to Benfica.
Correio da Manha are saying that Benfica have been open in their willingness to sell some of their top stars in the transfer window and claim they have received €300 million worth of offers. The list of teams from Europe making bids include Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Lyon, PSG, Monaco, Juventus, Atletico Madrid.

The report also includes Liverpool and fellow Premier League clubs Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur as teams who have submitted offers.
However there is no indication as to which Benfica player (or players) that Liverpool have moved towards. We know it is one of this group: Alex Grimaldo, Ruben Dias, João Félix, Gedson Fernandes, Florentino, Ferro & Jota.
The Reds have been linked to two of these players before: a loose connection to midfielder Gedson Fernandes from January of this year and a more credible link to Joao Felix from a month ago.
This latest report will give fuel to the Felix rumor. The 19-year-old starlet has burst on to the scene with 11 goals and four assists this season.
Liverpool appear to have ruled out huge spending in this summer transfer window but a younger forward with high selling-on potential is the kind of transfer we could see the club make.
The only other player here that would really interest me is Ruben Dias who has established himself as a top center back for both club and country at only 21-years-old.
If the Reds do seal a deal for Dejan Lovren to head to Italy then they could use the transfer funds from the World Cup finalist to fund a move for Dias.
