Liverpool fans want to see a 21 goal, 24 assist legend Hakim Ziyech at the club in the summer after Ajax made him available for transfer.

The Reds have been linked with a move for Ziyech, who has been in incredible form for the Amsterdam giants this season.

His 21 goals and 24 assists from all competitions mean the Moroccan international has directly contribution in more than half of his 49 appearances.

Those statistics are hard to ignore, and it’s part of the reason why Liverpool fans would be so keen to see the 26-year-old running out at Anfield next season.

Ajax sporting director Marc Overmars has confirmed that they won’t stand in the way of Ziyech if he wants to leave the club, which opens the door to a whole host of suitors.

The playmaker has featured 130 times for his club since joining from FC Twente and has 40 goals and 61 assists to his name. Ziyech has been consistent throughout his spell, but really kicked on this season as he formed an excellent bond with Dusan Tadic.

Arsenal are reportedly close to securing a deal for the star as they look for a way to decrease their reliance on Mesut Ozil. With a release clause of only £25 million, clubs are sniffing a bargain.

Ajax have already signed Razvan Marin from Belgian side Standard Liège as they look to undertake another rebuilding exercise. Frenkie de Jong has already agreed to join Barcelona, while defender Matthijs de Ligt may not be far behind.

It seems like Ziyech will be the third to leave this summer, after Austrian Maximilian Wöber left for La Liga in January after Sevilla launched a bid.

Liverpool have pulled out of the race for de Ligt, but could still end up with a member of the Ajax side who nearly pulled off a remarkable feat to make the Champions League final.
