Liverpool transfer target Bruno Fernandes sparks rumors by posting an Instagram story today hinting that he may be on the brink of a move.

It isn’t a Liverpool summer transfer window without a chunk of the fanbase tracking private jets around Europe with the vague notion we’re signing someone. Well, let the tracking begin as rumored target Bruno Fernandes has posted a picture of himself on a plane on his Instagram story.

Earlier today the Sporting Lisbon midfielder but up a story on his Instagram page of himself, his wife and daughter traveling somewhere in style.

After a month or so of barely plausible transfer rumors fans have understandably leapt on this one as a sign he is on the move somewhere… maybe Anfield?

The attacking midfielder is coming off an exceptions season bagging 31 goals and 20 assists as a midfielder leading Sporting Lisbon to third behind champions Benfica and Porto.

As many keen Liverpool fans have noticed, this is probably nothing. He has been on vacation with his family in Dubai and is probably just heading home and checking in with his fans. But until we’ve tracked that plane and followed a black Mercedes van from the airport to Melwood how can we really be sure?

He is being touted as worth £62 million although his transfer release fee is nearer £80 million. Most feel that is too much for a position that the Reds are well stocked in for next season.

Bruno Fernandes is the nearest thing to a ‘Philippe Coutinho replacement’ that the Reds have been strongly linked to. However after the huge success and development of last season there is a very good case to make that Liverpool no longer need to replace the Brazilian. In fact their form has been historically good since he left.

I would be hugely surprised if this airplane is on the way to John Lennon Airport. But we can still dream right?
