Liverpool loan goalkeeper Kamil Grabara has impressed on his Huddersfield Town debut as Derby County beat them 2-1 in the Championship.
The youngster moved to the Terriers on a season-long loan and was picked to start their opening game of the 2019/2020 season, and despite conceding twice Grabara can be happy with his performance.
Tom Lawrence hit the back of the net twice for the Rams while Karlan Grant scored from the penalty spot, but it could have been more if it wasn’t for the ability of Town’s new Polish man.
The Examiner gave Grabara a 7/10 match rating and commented that he made a ‘great save’ to stop Derby forward Martyn Waghorn from scoring.

It was a firey introduction to life in senior English football as Frank Lampard’s former side scored two goals in three minutes, but things settled down after that and Liverpool fans will be happy to see the goalkeeper start and play well.

Town fans make take a little longer than members of the local press to be convinced by their new man, however. The Examiner ran a poll which invited supporters to do their own ratings from the Derby defeat and the youngster was given a very average 5.8, which ranks him as the fifth best player on the night.
Liverpool open their Premier League account on Friday as they take on newly promoted Norwich City in a game that should end with a win for the Reds, but you never know.
