Liverpool Football Club face Norwich City in the Premier League curtain raiser tomorrow night. Here is the midfielder that will destroy the Canaries.

The march to 100 Premier League points begins for Liverpool Football Club on Friday night against Norwich City. Jurgen Klopp will surely have to pick a strong midfield to overturn the Canaries at Anfield.

The manager went for a tried and tested central trio against Manchester City in the Community Shield at Wembley. It was the same midfield that took to the pitch against Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League final: Fabinho, Gini Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson.

That lineup kept Spurs in check to defend Mohamed Salah‘s early penalty until the late goal by Divock Origi sealed a sixth European Cup, but it maybe too safe to employ at home to a newly promoted side on the first day of the season.

Klopp has a full complement of midfielders to choose from with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Adam Lallana clear of long-term injuries. Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri have shaken off knocks that kept them out for most of pre-season and James Milner is always in play for the boss.

There are plenty of ways that Klopp can work a midfield that has more guile and penetration than the trio that forced City to penalties on Sunday.

Norwich gained promotion as champions of the Championship. Their success was not built upon a solid defense – six other teams had better defensive record – but it was established on 93 goals. That attacking prowess will likely not translate to the Premier League but defensive frailty certainly will.

Klopp needs to go for the jugular tomorrow night. Here is the Liverpool midfield we want to see to destroy Norwich.
