Liverpool will face Chelsea in the European Super Cup final on Wednesday in Instanbul. Here are five reasons the Reds will destroy the Blues.

From Paris down to Turkey we’ve won the (redacted) lot. Tomorrow night Liverpool Football Club will be back in the Turkish city to face Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup final.

Liverpool are the actual Champions of Europe after defeating Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League final in Madrid on the first day of June.

Chelsea blew past a pathetic Arsenal performance to claim the second-rate Europa League trophy. The most boring first half in history gave way to five crazy second half goals in a strange game in the Azerbaijan capital of Baku.

Now the winners of the two trophies face off in the UEFA showpiece which stopped the tradition of being played in Monaco in 2013 and now travels around Europe to make more money. Of course.

Neither of the two sides have changed over the transfer window. Liverpool only made one signing for the first team squad in goalkeeper Adrian who will replace the injured Alisson Becker.

The transfer ban for Chelsea means they only have Christian Pulisic as a new option and the return of Michy Batshuayi and Tammy Abraham for loans.

Their summer was marked by departures with Eden Hazard making his dream move to Real Madrid and Europe League winning manager Maurizio Sarri being replaced by Championship promotion failure Frank Lampard. I liked both of those moves!

Liverpool and Chelsea have a history over the last 14 years of close European encounters but I think this will be hugely one-sided towards the boys from Merseyside.
