Five reasons Liverpool will annihilate Arsenal on Saturday

Liverpool face Arsenal in an early season top-of-the-table Premier League clash this weekend. Here are five reasons the Reds will tear apart the Gunners.

We are two games into the season and we’re top of the league! There is a long way to go but that doesn’t reduce the importance of this weekend’s clash between Liverpool and Arsenal at Anfield.

The two sides are the only ones who have one their first couple of games after the Reds saw off Norwich 4-1 and Southampton 2-1, while the Gunners took down Newcastle and Burnley.

With respect to those sides, none of them pose as much threat as Liverpool and Arsenal will to each other on Saturday.

The Reds are the European Champions and big favorites for this game at home. Jurgen Klopp has an outstanding record against the Gunners – especially at home – and so the smart money has been on Liverpool being the only perfect side after this game week.

However, Arsenal made a string of expensive signings this summer to bolster their side and look stronger than the team that limped to fifth place last season.

The additions of David Luiz and Kieran Tierney were desperately needed to help address the defensive frailties that marked their campaign last year.

Despite adding rumored Liverpool target Pepe for a club record fee of £72 million, it is on-loan signing Dani Ceballos who is really exciting their fans. Two assists in an impressive performance last week in his first start for the club has given fans cause for great excitement.

Many pundits are predicting a tough game for LFC, but I agree with the bookies – the Reds will annihilate Arsenal on Saturday and here are five reasons why:
