Liverpool transfer: Plan to sell attacker with 20 goals and 21 assists
By David Gate
Liverpool plan to sell Adam Lallana in the 2020 transfer window if the attacker remains on the edge of Jurgen Klopp’s squad says a report.
Liverpool fans may already be looking forward to 2020 and imagining who the club may sign in the transfer window, but one player looks set to leave as a report claims Adam Lallana will move away from Anfield next year.
Football Insider claim a LFC source has told them that the cub will ‘listen to any offers’ if the 31-year-old midfielder ‘can’t force his way back into the side’.

He has made just one start this season – against MK Dons in the Carabao Cup – and has three appearances from the substitute bench in the Premier League.
Through no real fault of his own, he has become a kind of scapegoat for some fans, alongside Dejan Lovren, as a symbol of the early transfer policy of FSG’s tenure and disappointment that big signings were not made in 2019.
Many were surprised the club didn’t try to cash on him in the last transfer window as the return of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain would only further limit his opportunities to play first team football.
There were no genuine suitors for his signature and with the club deciding against buying a new attacker the smart decision was to keep him around for another year or so to give Jurgen Klopp extra cover for his team.
The report claims that he won’t be sold in January either as the club learn the lesson from last year when they let Nathaniel Clyne leave on loan and were left short when Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold were injured.
Liverpool face Manchester United on Sunday in a huge Premier League clash and Adam Lallana will be hoping he can make the bench and grab a chance as a sub to show fans he still has what it takes to play a role at Anfield.
