Liverpool vs Spurs: Harry Kane ‘lucky’ comments ripped to shreds by fans
By David Gate
Liverpool are getting all the ‘little breaks’ according to Spurs striker Harry Kane who is getting ripped by fans for his one-sided comment.
Liverpool Football Club maintained their unbeaten start to the Premier League season yesterday with a 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur. However, Harry Kane thinks the Reds were lucky but the LFC fans are having none of it.
In his post match interview with Sky Sports the England international highlighted the ways in which he feels Liverpool have been lucky and, I guess, Spurs have been unlucky:
“Liverpool are, obviously, getting all of them little breaks at the moment that go their way”.

Okay Harry. Let’s look at some facts from the game: LFC had 68% possession for the match – which is what they usually have against mid-table sides not a supposed ‘big 6’ club.
They also forced Paulo Gazzaniga to make 12 saves – the most of any keeper in the Premier League since December 2017; over 700 league games have passed since then.
Now let’s look at the two sides over the last couple of seasons. Since the beginning of the 2018/19 Premier League campaign Tottenham have lost 17 (SEVENTEEN) games. The Reds have lost just one; away at a historically good Man City side.
The LFC fans aren’t having any of it:
This delusional way of looking at the two sides can only be good for the Reds. As long as Spurs players believe they are hard done-by while we are lucky that will only feed complacency in them. I’m very happy for them to feel sorry for themselves.
It was only a year ago that the two sides were being compared as equals; Jurgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino both receiving enormous praise for developing their sides. But today the Reds stand as European Champions at the top of the league while Spurs are Champions League losers languishing in 11th place.
No wonder Harry Kane is a bit upset. Chin up.
