Liverpool v Manchester United: Solskjaer offers Marcus Rashford injury update

Liverpool fans will be keen to hear what Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had to say about the injury to Marcus Rashford ahead of the Reds clash with Manchester United.
Liverpool will be giving a raucous welcome to Manchester United on Sunday as the Reds look to consolidate their lead at the top of the Premier League. And their Manc rivals could be without Marcus Rashford who is struggling with an injury.
United beat Wolverhampton Wanderers in the a third round FA Cup replay yesterday. Rashford was not named in the starting line up but had to come off the bench as his side were looking for a winner at 0-0.

However, he only lasted 15 minutes before leaving the field with an injury. After the game Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gave the media an update on the ailment:
"“He’s got a knock there and he couldn’t run, he’ll have a test in the next couple of days”"
When talking about his availability for Sunday he offered plainly: “I don’t know”.
The 22-year-old is having his best season to date, racking up an impressive 19 goals this term. Losing him on Sunday would be a huge blow to United who already have an uphill task to take points off Liverpool at Anfield. The English international is perhaps the only player that has caused problems for the Reds’ defense in recent seasons.
The Reds are – and you absoutely love to see it – 27 points ahead of United after just 21 games played.
Solskjaer gave a little more insight into what exactly Rashford is dealing with as he continued:
"“He’s struggled with a couple of knock on his back lately and he got another one (against Wolves) which didn’t help”"

Liverpool are creeping nearer towards a clean injury list after a rough month or two. Fabinho and Joel Matip returned to full team training this week but it is unlikely either will start against Man Utd on Sunday. However, they could make the bench and be available for the manager.
