Liverpool ran out 2-0 winners against Manchester United in the Premier League to extend their huge lead at the top of the table. Here are the player ratings:

This time there would be no draw. This time, Liverpool would take all three points against the Mancs. This one would feel title defining.

The 2-0 win over Manchester United means Liverpool are now 16 points clear at the top of the Premier League table. Oh, they also have a game in hand.

More from Rush The Kop

Through 22 games this season Liverpool have dropped points only once. And that was at the hands of Olé Gunnar-Soljkaer’s men back on October 20 with a 1-1 draw. But this time there would be no disappointment. No more blemishes in this record-breaking title run. The Reds took all three points and extend their winning streak.

There were no surprises in the lineup from Jurgen Klopp as the side had over a week to rest after beating Tottenham Hotspur in North London last weekend.

There’s nothing better than beating Manchester United. But doing so while cementing us to a position that is (almost certainly) going to yield a title is incredible.
