Liverpool are bound to be active in the transfer market at the end of the season. Here is one dream target to sign from every Premier League club.

There’s not much extra to say about this really. In the absence of actually football, here’s a lovely little hypothetical for you all. If you could sign one player from every top flight side, who would it be and why?

We’ve got a pretty complete squad, but there are a few areas that could be improved with some high quality deals. One, two or three transfers would be idea in the summer, just to increase our squad depth and move a few players who aren’t really up to standard.

This is who we think would be really good for Liverpool.

Arsenal

In a way, Arsenal have got loads of players Liverpool could use, but at the same time there are none who’d come in and improve the squad.

And so your mind drifts towards their talented crop of youngsters coming through. Reiss Nelson, Bukayo SakaMatteo Guendouzi. All these will go on to have big futures, and have already had an impact on the Premier League so far.

But you can’t really go further than to look at Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. How can you? He’s a deadly finisher, he’s rapid, he’s worked with Klopp before and he’s a genuine goal threat.

Liverpool need to add some better strength-in-depth to their forward line as Divock Origi has shown himself to be out of his depth this campaign. It’s why rumours linking us with Timo Werner continue to swirl.

Yes, Aubameyang would be a short-term move. The star is 30-years-old, probably looking for one massive pay day, but this is all hypothetical and he would improve the squad.

49 top flight goals in his 30 months with Arsenal tell you that the Gabon international is a rare unit. He’s scored goals in Germany, Europe and now he’s scoring goals in the best league in the world. Get him in my Liverpool side.
