Liverpool have been linked Adama Traore.
There have been transfer rumours about a Liverpool move for Adama Traore published before, but John Richardson from The Mirror has written an update on it.
According to Richardson, Jurgen Klopp likes the Wolves forward and has officially made an enquiry for the former Barcelona kid.
"He wrote: “The champions-elect have enquired about the 24-year-old Spaniard, who has made a huge impact at Molineux this season.”"
A specific transfer fee wasn’t mentioned, although the article did state that the Wanderers could cash in £100 million for Traore and Raul Jimenez.
The Express’s Lloyd Johnson wrote that Jimenez might be available for a reduced £18 million and that would value Traore at £78 million – nearly the cost of Jadon Sancho.
However, the Mirror refuted that claim. According to the website Transfermarkt, the Mexican striker is worth around £36 million.
That would make any price Liverpool pay for Troare substantially less than the fee for Sancho, which could tip the balance in favour of the Wolves player.

After missing out on Timo Werner, Klopp could be in the market for another forward – although with Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino in the ranks, that need isn’t as pressing as some people would make out.
Traore would represent an excellent squad player for Liverpool. He’s a man who has improved dramatically under Nuno Santo, who is an intense coach that demands an incredibly high workrate from his players.
Because of that, the forward would be at the fitness levels Klopp requires while the physical aspect of his game is truly frightening. As one of the quickest and strongest players in the league, defences have had to double or triple mark the star and that makes him very threatening.
The fee could be a stumbling block, and it won’t sit well if Liverpool splash the cash on someone after refusing to pay the money for Werner – who looks likely to join Chelsea.
With this, just as in all things, we’ll just have to wait and see.
