Three players Liverpool could could still sign in January
Rodrigo de Paul
Udinese used to be the masters of scooping up talent from across the world and selling them for big money. The Italians are the club that brought Alexis Sanchez to Europe, while they also had a hand in unearthing Kwadwo Asamoah, Mauricio Isla and Samir Handanovic.

However, they have gone quiet in recent seasons. But now they have a real talent on their hands, and Rodrigo de Paul looks like the real deal.
The 26-year-old would be a good fit for Liverpool. He’s been with the club since 2016 and has 29 goals with 28 assists in 166 games, and Edwards is keeping an eye on his progression with Udinese, says Fabrizio Romano.
The Argentine is a creative midfielder who could help the squad solve a number of problems. De Paul would bring a Thiago-ish level to the team, and at a time when we’re struggling to score goals, would add something very different.
Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold are looking tired and their effectiveness has dropped remarkably from last season. More creativity and input from the centre of midfield would go a long way to fixing that.
