Jurgen Klopp has the perfect Fabinho replacement
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has the perfect Fabinho replacement in the squad and he must be unleashed against Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola and his Cityzens (blergh) travel across the country to play the Reds at Anfield on Sunday, and they are in good form.
Actually, they’re in the type of form Liverpool were in last season as they stretched away to put the Premier League title beyond doubt.
Liverpool must unleash this surprise Fabinho replacement
City has won 13 games in a row and have only conceded 13 goals this campaign. To put that number into context, the Reds have let in 25.
These games are always really cagey affairs, although we have occasionally been treated to goals; eight in the last three. But Liverpool can always do with someone with a bit of magic, who can unlock City when the front three have been struggling.
If Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino couldn’t break down Brighton, it doesn’t exactly fill us with confidence about their ability to stick one past Ederson.
That brings us to Fabinho and the Fabinho replacement. Fab has the uncanny ability to hit thunderbastards against City, and when you can’t get in the box and score from six yards, you may as well thunder one in from bloody miles out.

That’s why Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could be the surprise package in this Liverpool side. A midfield of James Milner, Gini Wijnaldum, and Thiago looked pedestrian against Brighton, although that was mainly down to Wijnaldum and Milner.
Bringing Oxlade-Chamberlain into the mix would add some dynamism and the ability to shoot from range. And don’t forget, the Ox has precedent against this side – just like Fabinho. Ah, how the plot thickens!
Oxlade-Chamberlain has been poor this season. He has struggled for rhythm. He hasn’t been trusted by Klopp, and is yet to enjoy a run of games in midfield.
But all that could go out of the window against City. For his ability from long range and his ability to step up against Manchester City, Oxlade-Chamberlain can be our Fabinho replacement.
