Loss for Liverpool will derail RB Leipzig Champions League dreams
And so Sunday, Jurgen and the Liverpool lads go again against a malingering Fulham side that is only in a relegation battle at bottom of table. The Cottagers did manage to nick a point in the away tie in December, so they too will be looking to get their licks in on the reigning champions.
With a return tie with RB Leipzig looming come Wednesday, Klopp will want his lads to get in a good game of football to build much-needed confidence before that knockout tie in Hungary. Which was revealed to have been moved from Anfield due to COVID travel restrictions with Germany.
The creativity in the midfield and final third have taken a recent vacation with these Reds and Jurgen will be trying to find ways to unlock the goal potential soupline that his lauded frontmen have displayed in this new calendar year.

Mane has not scored in quite some time now, and while Bobby Firmino usually scores less, Salah too has had a bad spell in finding the back of the net.
For all the worrying, excuse-making, and attention the injury fraught defense has garnered, it has actually played well all things considered, but in this woeful offensive run; no creative spark, poor clinical final third passing and finishing, that trademark spark of confidence, has gone wanting.
Finding that Liverpool way back, will be Jurgen Klopp’s one sole job, if he intends to rescue this season from the bin. And it begins with Fulham Sunday evening at Anfield. No team from Liverpool has ever lost six in a row at Anfield.
This side needs to banish their demons and come out fighting like the Champions we know they are. They need to inject some belief into the fans, and to themselves as well, otherwise we can kiss goodbye to the Champions League as well.
