The Liverpool youngster dubbed the ‘next Roberto Lewandowski’ has scored a sensational solo strike.

Mateusz Musialowski joined the club in August 202 and there was an immediate sense of excitement as the young Pole’s goal record followed him around.

And now Musialowski has scored a sensational solo strike to improve his reputation among Reds fans and interested observers.

Liverpool have a wonderkid?

He’s scored five goals and created two assists in 15 games for the Liverpool U18 side and it appears as if he’s become a key part of that side very quickly.

This effort, scored against Newcastle United and captured on video, started with Musialowski picking the ball up just inside the Magpies’ half.

He’s immediately hunted down by one Toon player but displays good strength as the Polish starlet rides the challenge and hits the afterburners to burst between another two Newcastle midfielders.

That acceleration put Musialowksi through to the edge of the Magpies’ penalty box, but he wasn’t finished. The 17-year-old put his head down, danced inside another challenge, weaved around one defender as the Newcastle lad stuck a forlorn leg out, and smashed it across the goalkeeper into the bottom corner of the net.

Mateusz Musialowski showed his class

It was a really sensational strike and it’s one that any fan would enjoy watching. Whether Musialowski ends up becoming a regular for Liverpool, a regular in the Premier League or has to drop down the divisions, it’s clear that he’s got real talent but now we’ll have to see if he has the application.

It’s unlikely the Reds would have sanctioned a move for the Polish youngster if he didn’t display the drive and determination that every footballer needs to make it under Jurgen Klopp.

But for now, let’s just enjoy one of the best goals you’ll see in a Liverpool shirt for a long time and hope he can replicate that as he moves through the levels.
