This interminable international break served up yet more UEFA Nations League action on Friday night; don't worry, it's just eight days until the Premier League returns! As we all seek to fulfil our football fix, there were six Liverpool players in international action across the continent on Friday, so find out how they all performed.
Hungary get the better of Georgia

There were Reds on both sides of tonight's clash at the Puskás Aréna, and it was the Hungarians who came out on top. The only goal of the night was scored by Miloš Kerkez, coming ten minutes before half time. The left-back ghosted into the six yard box and connected with Dániel Lukács' cross, like a seasoned centre-forward, and this was enough to secure the points.
This was Kerkez's first international goal on the occasion of his 35th cap, and something of a rare occurrence, considering he's only netted nine times in 204 outings for his various clubs. Like Kerkez, Dominik Szoboszlai also completed the full 90 minutes for the Magyars.
On the other side, Georgia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili could not keep out Kerkez's header, but did make five saves, rather keeping the score down.
France fail to beat Italy

Over at the Stade de France, Zinédine Zidane's perfect start to life at France manager came to an end. Les Bleus were held to a 1-1 draw by Italy in Paris, despite taking the lead through star man Michael Olise, with Alessandro Bastoni's equaliser securing a share of the spoils for the Azzurri.
From a Liverpool perspective, Jérémy Jacquet started at centre-back and completed the full 90 minutes. This came just four nights after the 21 year old earned his senior international debut in Brussels. His defensive partner on the night Dayot Upamecano was actually sent off five minutes from time for a second bookable offence, making it even more likely that Jacquet will start again when neighbours Belgium visit Saint-Denis on Monday night.
Meantime, Bradley Barcola replaced former PSG club team mate Désiré Doué 15 minutes from the end, seemingly not in Zizou's best lineup at the moment, albeit he could be rotated in for the visit of the Red Devils.

He may currently be out on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, but it is worth highlighting Liverpool youngster Kieran Morrison. He started, and played 77 minutes, as Northern Ireland smashed Ukraine 3-0 at Štadión Antona Malatinského, his inch-perfect cross headed home by Isaac Price to make it two in front of the traveling fans in Trnava.
This was Morrison's first appearance of the window, with Michael O'Neill's team currently enjoying a dream start, picking up seven points out of nine, yet to concede a goal. The 19 year old is certainly someone worth keeping an eye on for Liverpool fans.
